Job description
Do you have a passion supporting children with special needs and disorders? Are you keen to develop you skills further in a SEND environment?

A special school in the East Berkshire area is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work with a class of children with autism (ASD). The pupils in the class are of key stage 3 age. The successful person will need to have the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. You will work alongside a teacher and other teaching assistants and ABA tutors as well as therapists. All applicants welcome with a positive attitude to working with children and a proactive, friendly approach.

Successful candidates will be required to both work one to one and/or lead a group of children with various special needs including ASD among other related disorders. Some experience with similar special needs would be an advantage but not essential. The role is full time and long term to start asap.

If you have all of these qualities and would like to work with Protocol, please submit your CV.

Please note only candidates with the relevant qualifications and legal right to work in the UK will be contacted.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
