Job description
Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a new role?

I am recruiting on behalf of a vibrant, larger than average community school in Ealing with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating across the board. This school is seeking a passionate, dedicated individual to work on a one to one basis with a Year 4 pupil with ASD.

Your role would involve aiding the pupil to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own by,

 Clarifying and explaining instructions

 Ensuring the pupil is able to use equipment and materials provided

 Motivating and encouraging the pupil as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils’ needs

 Using praise, commentary and assistance to encourage the pupil to concentrate and stay on task

 Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate

 Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies

 Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil

 Monitor the pupil’s response to the learning activities and, where appropriate, modify or adapt the activities as agreed with the teacher to achieve the intended learning outcomes.

This position is open to anyone with a minimum of 3 months of experience working as ASD Teaching Assistant but a TA qualification at Level 2 or higher is advantageous. If you’re interested in this fantastic opportunity with Protocol Education, please apply with your up to date CV.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
