Job description
Protocol Education has a vacancy for a KS1 ASD Teacher at a new Special Education Needs School in the London Borough of Brent. The role will be a full-time long-term role starting in September, with the likely option of a permanent position after the first term.

The role is within a SEN school with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Conditions. The curriculum is therapy based and they have a multi-professional team approach to supporting the school. They are a dedicated and passionate team that are working towards opening an Outstanding SEN School.

The school aims to provide:
• opportunities that enable children to thrive, and be ambitious about achieving their full potential.
• a collaborative learning team around every child to support each child's learning needs and maximise meaningful learning opportunities.
• a therapeutic team that will work together with families to nurture and support a child's emotional, social and academic development.
• a partnership with families to improve the lives and life chances of children with SEN by ensuring that they are healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and experience the wider community.

They are looking for a skilled teacher who:
• is an exemplary, outstanding SEN classroom practitioner and is able to work alongside a team of TAs and therapists
• has the ability to work as part of a forward looking strategic team
• has a deep understanding of how children with special educational needs learn
• is secure in their knowledge of differentiation of the National Curriculum
• can accelerate pupil progress and raise attainment
• is a proven, successful team player with excellent motivational and interpersonal skills

To be eligible for this role you must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and full eligibility to work in the UK. Experience of teaching in a SEN school or provision would be highly advantageous.
