About the Role

As an Artistic Youth Worker, you will support students both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, using creative and sensory approaches to enhance engagement, communication, and emotional development. Your work will play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence and connect with learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting students’ emotional wellbeing and educational progress through creative methods
• Using art, drama, music, or movement to encourage expression and engagement
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Supporting students in developing emotional regulation and participating in daily school life

About You

We are seeking an individual who:

• Has experience or qualifications in the arts, drama, creative therapies, or a related field
• Has worked with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and SEMH
• Is adaptable, empathetic, and confident in a dynamic environment
• Brings creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to their work
• Is committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all students
