Job description
Art Teacher (All Key Stages)

Location - London Borough of Hillingdon

Salary - £140 - £210 per day DOE

Start - Jan 2017

Duration - Till end of academic year (minimum)

Moving forward and wanting to strengthen its staff a full time teacher of Art is required to join a hardworking and motivated school and successful Art department.

Art at the school is taught throughout KS3 and 4 with students studying a varied and diverse curriculum that has been designed to allow them to experience modern and well established techniques. At GCSE Art is a very popular choice and has produced very strong results in recent years. Students work has been exhibited and takes pride of place throughout the school.

The Art department is well resourced and classrooms are fitted to stimulate and allow creativity in every lesson. The small department work collaboratively to ensure every pupil achieves their full potential. The department has dark rooms, computer suites, printing facilities and also access to design labs where examples of students work is displayed proudly.

With the school continuing to improve a large focus is placed on pupil achievement. All staff are totally committed to providing students with the very best educational experience both inside and outside the classroom environment. All staff adhere to a detailed and individualised staff training programme that runs throughout the academic year. Like the students staff encouraged to be ambitious and to aim to reach their full potential.

This role would suit an experienced teacher of Art. You must have experience of raising student achievement and delivering high quality lessons. Teachers must hold a valid teaching qualification and be able to provide professional references.
