Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Secondary Art Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art education and have a deep understanding of various art forms, techniques, and art history. The Secondary Art Teacher will be responsible for inspiring students to express themselves creatively, fostering a love for the arts, and guiding them in developing their artistic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive art lessons for secondary students.
  2. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  3. Integrate technology and contemporary art practices into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences.
  4. Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' artistic work, ensuring their continuous growth and development.
  5. Organize and participate in art-related extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and competitions.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across various subjects and promote interdisciplinary learning.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. QTS
  3. Valid teaching certification for secondary education.
  4. Proven experience teaching art at the secondary level.
  5. Strong knowledge of art history, various art forms, and contemporary art practices.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  8. Technologically proficient with a willingness to integrate technology into the curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
