Job description
Protocol Education are a cover agency that are looking for day to day play workers that are organised, motivated and flexible with excellent personal and social skills who are dedicated to supporting children within a day centre setting.

You'll support children to follow their own ideas and interests for play. You'll make sure there are safe, interesting and fun play opportunities to meet children's individual and group needs.

You'll also follow health and safety procedures and help children to be aware of their own safety and that of others.

Your day-to-day work may include:
• providing and setting up play areas, materials and equipment
• giving out refreshments
• dealing with injuries and emergencies
• building relationships with parents, carers, and professionals
• keeping records


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Confidence, as the children's parents/carers also stay for the sessions
  • Ability to read and write in English to a good standard
  • Previous experience of working with children
  • Current enhanced DBS is essential.
