Job description
Do you have experience working with children?

We are currently recruiting for breakfast and afterschool staff. Searching for fun and friendly candidates for some of our fantastic Primary Schools in Huntingdon and the surrounding area. The ideal candidates should be highly trustworthy and attentive to children’s needs. Talking to and interacting with the children, keeping a watchful eye on the children's behaviour, encouraging shy children to participate and maintaining discipline. You will be working with children from the ages of 3 -11, providing after school clubs and breakfast clubs. We are looking for the best possible candidates to work with our Primary Schools. Applicants will ideally have a wide skill set ranging from excellent time management to good customer service skills. There are positions available for qualified and unqualified staff although childcare experience is valued. The successful applicants will be passionate about working in childcare and playwork.

The role:

 Friendly and enthusiastic personality

 Previous child care experience preferred

 Providing a safe and secure environment for all children

 Ensuring all the children reach their individual developmental stages

 Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and carers

 Contributing to planned programmes of activities for suitable to the age ranges

 Keeping records of achievements on file of the children, for parents/carers

 NVQ 2 qualified

 First Aid qualified (not essential)
