Protocol Education are recruiting an Active Teaching Assistant to support young people with SEMH and behavioural needs in a specialist South Shields setting.

This role would suit someone who is energetic, confident and able to bring enthusiasm into the school day.

What You'll Do

• Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Build positive relationships through sport and shared interests.
• Encourage physical activity throughout the school day.
• Support pupils in lessons.
• Assist with PE and extracurricular activities.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Encourage positive behaviour.
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies.
• Act as a positive role model.
• Support pupils during break and lunchtime.
• Encourage teamwork, communication and resilience.

The Person We're Looking For

You could be:

• A sports graduate.
• A football coach.
• A PE assistant.
• A youth worker.
• A fitness instructor.
• A sports professional.
• An experienced TA with a passion for sport.

You will need to be:

Driving is a bonus, especially for candidates who can travel easily to different schools/settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
