An outstanding school in BS30 is looking for LSA's to work with their wonderful students! It is a fantastic school and in their Ofsted inspection they where they were deemed to be 'Good with outstanding features' in all areas judged. It is a lovely school in a great and accessible area!
The school has different positions open from 1:1 support to general classroom support. Currently, they are looking for 1:1 support for a child with Speech and Language difficulties in KS2. Experience is highly desirable for this role. If you have experience working with children with additional needs who have difficulties communicating and experience using different methods of learning such as PECS and sensory activities, you will get on well!
As well as this role, they are always looking for other support staff to work in the classrooms with their children. General classroom support consists of supporting the teacher in the classroom by assisting the children during lesson time. You may be asked to support with activities that have been planned and to encourage the engagement and participation of the students.
Essential Criteria:
•Knowledge and experience working with children (this does not need to be in a classroom setting)
•Flexible timetable
•A passion for working in education
•A drive to advance yourself and have a hands on approach in the classroom
•Basic knowledge of the curriculum
Desirable Criteria:
•Experience working with special educational needs
•Training or qualifications in education/childcare
•Experience in a classroom setting
•Experience leading and implementing activities in the classroom
