Job description
Are you passionate about the inclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities?
Are you a positive, self-motivated, well-organised person with a 'can-do' attitude?

Protocol Education is looking for special needs Learning support assistants to work in a Mainstream Primary School in Essex on a day to day and long term basis. Special needs Learning support assistants need to provide a high level of support to children with a range of learning difficulties including ASD (autism), complex needs and PMLD.

It is an advantage to have experience of working with young children with special education needs. You will also need excellent inter-personal and communication skills, have the ability to use your own initiative but also to be an active team player.


We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
