Bristol £90 - 100 per day + PAYE Permanent Teaching 311025952 Posted 1 month ago
Do you love helping children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.
We’re looking for a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil who would benefit from personalised learning and guidance throughout their school day. You’ll be part of a welcoming primary school community in Bristol where teamwork, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing sit at the heart of everything they do.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work closely with a child, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive and nurturing environment.
• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs
• Helping adapt classroom activities so the child can fully access the curriculum
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Supporting learning through structured routines, targeted interventions, and personalised strategies
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
• Helping create a calm, inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe and supported
No two days are the same, but every day gives you the chance to make a meaningful impact.
We’re keen to hear from people who are patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting young learners.
You’ll likely have:
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN setting
• A calm, encouraging approach to behaviour and emotional support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEND (helpful but not essential)
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who believes every child deserves the chance to succeed.
• A competitive salary
• Opportunities for training and professional development
• Support from a friendly and collaborative school team
• The chance to gain valuable experience in a well-resourced and inclusive school environment
• The opportunity to make a lasting difference in a child’s education and confidence
If you’re someone who enjoys seeing those small “lightbulb moments” when a child finally gets it, you’ll feel right at home here.
Apply today and take the next step in a rewarding career supporting young learners.
