1:1 Teaching Assistant

We’re working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a named child.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team who put children at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping a pupil thrive both academically and emotionally, supporting their learning while encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child during the school day

• Supporting learning activities and adapting tasks where needed

• Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations

• Helping the child engage fully in school life

• Working closely with teachers and the wider staff team

What they’re looking for

• Experience working with children with ASD or in a 1:1 support role

• High expectations for achievement and behaviour

• A calm, motivating and encouraging approach

• The ability to inspire pupils and build positive relationships

• Flexibility, creativity and a genuine willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
