Job description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a school looking for a positive and driven person to work on a 1:1 basis in support of a child with ASD in a mainstream school.

The school is an OFSTED Good' school with a warm and supportive team of staff. The children are interested and enthusiastic about learning.

Person Specification
The school is looking for someone who has worked with children with Special Educational Needs in previous roles and experience of ASD is preferred. You will need to be an excellent behaviour manager and adaptable to different situations. You will be required to work closely with other staff in the class room and the SEND-CO so being a team player is essential.

• An NVQ Level 2/3 or Equivalent in a Teaching Assistant or Support Work Qualification.
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• An understanding of child development.
• A passion for working with children who have special educational needs.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• The ability to use your own initiative.
