ASD Secondary Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are now recruiting for a part time ASD secondary teaching assistant to work with a Year 8 boy with non verbal communicational behaviours. This successful ASD secondary teaching assistant will be required to work 1:1 daily from 8.30am with a 4pm finish. This is a temporary contract starting in September 2020 to go through until the end of term. This school is based in Surbiton within close reach of public transport as well as onsite parking if required.

The role:

-Part Time
-Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8.30 - 4pm
-September 2020 to start
-Daily rate from £60 - £80, depending on experience
-Working 1:1 with a Year 8 child.

The School:

This school is a provision for pupils who have a range of severe and complex learning difficulties. Located in Surbiton, London, they provide educational support for children aged between 11 - 16 years. The staff at this school have the confidence to provide a safe and caring environment for the pupils as well as their staff members. This school was rated outstanding in 2019 by Ofsted.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position you will require:

-Previous experience working in a school that specifies dealing with challenging behaviours.
-Any experience with ASD.
-Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
-Eligibility to work in the UK.
-Valid DBS checks or willing to apply for one.
