SEND Teaching Assistant/1-1 - Primary School
Protocol Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a vibrant and supportive Primary school in Lincoln. This person requires SEN experience, preferably with experience of intimate care.
The TA/1-1 Responsibilities will include:
•Supporting a classroom and the teacher during lessons.
·Supporting a child 1-1 with intimate caring needs.
•Carrying out behaviour management in line with the school's policies and procedures.
•Supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom.
•Accompanying and supporting students with their academic and personal development.
•Being proactive in the class to ensure your learning support is tailored to each child's individual need.

Protocol Education is seeking an individual with a desire and passion to support a vulnerable child who has experience working with Special Education Needs with intimate care. The perfect candidate would ideally have some form of behaviour management training, ideally team teach, manual handling or STEPS training, although this is desired, it is not essential. Most importantly, you must be approachable, enthusiastic and promote positive behaviour management and guidance to aid progression and personal development.

The role:
• Working closely in a 1:1 environment and small groups to support behavioural issues
• Encouraging positive behaviours, detecting areas of intervention and negotiating improvement strategies
• Understanding and commitment to the improvement of students

The ideal candidate must have:
•Experience of working with others and supporting them with intimate caring needs.
•A passion for working closely with SEND students to achieve their personal goals and behaviours.
•A valid and current enhanced DBS check or willing to complete one.
•Experience working with SEND students/young persons.
•Worked as a behaviour specialist or in intervention support - Preferably .

The ideal candidate may have:
• A psychology or relevant University degree.
• Experience working 1-1 with children and in small group capacity.
• Experience supporting students with SEND.
