Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Scaffold learning tasks to meet the needs of individual students
  • Support students in developing social skills and building positive relationships
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification
  • Training in specific SEN areas such as Autism or ADHD

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • May involve some out-of-hours work for meetings or events
