Job description
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and friendly Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant with recent classroom experience, to work on a 1.1 support basis, in a long-term/full-time position. This role is for a vibrant special school based in Lewisham, close to the nearest bus stop and train station (walking distance).

This school supports all children from 5 to 16 who have SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties) as their main need. They believe that with the right support, their students should be able to achieve their full potential and even return to a mainstream school wherever possible. We are seeking applicants who have the appropriate personal characteristics and the motivation to join their team and stand out with the children. This school has sports every afternoon, so if you are into physical activities this might be an exciting opportunity for you!

Candidates should ideally:
- have previous SEN experience working with young people
- be familiar with SEMH
- have good communication skills
- have a positive attitude
- be flexible and friendly
- have excellent attendance and punctuality record
