This role is about consistency, patience, and building trust. You won’t just be supporting learning. You’ll be helping a child feel safe, understood, and ready to take on the day.

That could include:
Supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
Helping them stay focused and engaged during lessons
Using positive behaviour strategies and clear routines
Breaking tasks into manageable steps
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Encouraging social interaction and emotional regulation
Primary settings are busy, energetic places. Your calm presence will make all the difference.
Have experience supporting children with SEND
Are patient, resilient, and nurturing
Stay calm in challenging moments
Build strong, trusting relationships
Want to make a genuine difference in a child’s school journey
Experience in schools, nurseries, care, youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring is all valuable.
SEND roles need to be the right match, and that’s exactly what we focus on.
