We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Colchester, starting this September.

Your role will include:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
• Helping the pupil stay engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day
• Using tailored strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and learning
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Creating a calm, positive, and structured environment

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children with ASD (essential)
• Is patient, understanding, and consistent in their approach
• Can build strong, trusting relationships
• Is proactive, reliable, and passionate about supporting SEN pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
