This role is available immediately and will run until May half term, with the potential to extend for the right candidate.

About the School

This is a small, friendly primary school set in a beautiful rural location, where staff work closely together to create a calm, supportive learning environment. The school has a strong community feel and places real importance on helping children grow in confidence, resilience and kindness, alongside their academic learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual support in the classroom

  • Helping the pupil stay focused and engaged in lessons

  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs

  • Is calm, patient and consistent

  • Builds strong relationships with pupils and staff

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

  • Can commit to full-time work until at least May half term

  • Drives and has access to a car due to the school’s rural location

What You’ll Gain

  • Experience working in a supportive and welcoming school

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s learning and wellbeing

  • A role that could extend beyond May half term
