Job description
1:1 SEN Classroom Assistant - Godalming, Guildford

Protocol Education are working with a well-known and highly regarded special school in Surrey. The school caters for up to 110 pupils and Sixth Form students between the ages of 7 - 19, who have a range of academic abilities and complex needs including; Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties as well as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.

Protocol Education are looking for a highly motivated and skilled special needs assistant who has experience and a high level of knowledge of working with children or vulnerable adults with special needs. Due to the location of the school, it is preferable that the right candidate holds a full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle and is available for work immediately.

The role:

• 5 days a week, term time only
• 8:30am-3:30pm
• Based in the Borough of Waverley
• Working 1:1 with pupils who have challenging behaviour
• Working immediately until Summer 2019

You must have:

• At least 2 years of working with autism and challenging behaviour
• You must be confident with the SEN code of practice
• Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle
