Primary School Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education is currently seeking a Qualified Tutor to provide 1:1 support within a supportive school setting in Dagenham.

This role is ideal for a qualified teacher or experienced tutor who is passionate about helping pupils build confidence and make progress through personalised learning.


The Role

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver targeted, personalised lessons to support individual learning needs

  • Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils who may require additional academic or emotional support

  • Work closely with school staff to monitor progress and adjust learning plans

  • Help build confidence, engagement, and independence in learning

  • Support core subjects such as English and Maths (depending on pupil needs)


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches

  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
