Job description
Are you a teacher looking for a bit extra? Protocol Education are looking for qualified teachers to work on a 1:1 basis tutoring children for The Hope Virtual School in Bristol. The Hope is in place to support children in care to prepare for their GCSE's.

It is a fantastic way to gain more experience and earn some extra money! Tutoring sessions take place in the Bristol area and can take place at the child's foster home, their mainstream/specialist school or a neutral location e.g. library. Tutoring tends to take place after school hours but can take place during the day at their school.
We need tutors who are able to tutor Maths. You don't have to be a specialist you just need to be comfortable to tutor it. Some of the children work at a much lower level than GCSE and need support and encouragement to bring their levels up. There are other young people who are predicted to do well in their GCSE's and need that final push and guidance to reach the grade they would like to achieve.

We know from research and experience that children in care often have education gaps in their learning to fill, and that these gaps can be effectively supported and filled by engaging in 1:1 tuition with a qualified teacher. Again, this academic year The Hope provided Children in Care in Year 11 with the opportunity to have additional 1:1 teaching in their home through the The HOPE commissioning of Protocol Education teachers.

The great thing about tutoring is that you can do it in addition to your current job! On the other hand, if you are only looking for a few tutoring sessions a week and are flexible with hours, we can set you up with a few sessions!

To apply, please either respond to this advert or send your CV to jess.best@protocol-education.com. Any queries, give me a call on 01179453965.
