We work with a school who are looking to appoint two 1:1 Learning Support Assistants for two named children with SEND in Reception and Year 1, with immediate effect.

The role will be to support a child with a range of learning and behavioural needs. .

Working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:45am to 3:00pm. 30 hours per week. Term-time only plus non-pupil days.

The successful candidates should have the following:

  • Experience of working with and supporting children with additional needs
  • Applications from Nursery workers are welcome
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Experience of supporting pupils with a range of needs e.g. Autism, Learning and speech and / or language difficulties
  • Able to support the child's medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs
  • Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
  • Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
  • A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves
  • Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills
  • Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of ICT
  • Flexibility and a good sense of humour
  • The ability to use their own initiative
  • Willing to undertake training and support individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
