Job description
Protocol Education are recruiting on behalf of a college in Camden for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a student with severe and complex Special Educational Needs.
It's a full time position between the hours of 8.30am 4.00pm. This position is term time only.
They are looking for someone that is passionate, enthusiastic and positive who is experienced in working with young people or adults that have Special Educational Needs or any care related position.
This role requires you to be confident and supportive with students with various learning, behavioural and/or physical difficulties and provide care on a 1:1 basis. The student is extremely active so you will need to be very proactive, energetic and physically fit.
This role offers a range of duties which require you to be passionate and committed. Some of the roles will be:
  • Supporting the student on vocational courses as well as academic lessons.
  • Assisting the student on regular visits outside of the college to help the student gain independence.
  • Providing medical support, personal care and feeding if needed.
The college would like the potential candidate to possess:
  • SEN experience
  • Willingness to provide personal care if needed
  • Ability to work cooperatively with the students, work colleagues, parents and the wider college community.
