Job description
Amazing opportunity for an experienced SEN Specialist to join this Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' School in Hillingdon, West London.

This highly regarded School in Hillingdon is well organised and established. Pupils achieve well under the guidance of a committed and passionate staff team. The School benefits from a brand new building located new the tube station and has been recognised as one of the best Schools in London by Ofsted!

The Head Teacher is looking to recruit an experienced SEN Specialist to work 1-1 with an Autistic student in Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children or adults with Autism. You will be confident in dealing with challenging and aggressive behaviour and be able to implement strategies to improve the inclusion of this child in this mainstream School.

You will be patient, calm and an excellent communicator - able to work with other staff and parents to give this child the best access to education. You will differentiate successfully and above all, build a relationship and create a safe and unique learning environment for this child to thrive!

If you are experienced in supporting students on the Autistic Spectrum then please apply below. If you have experience using PECS and/or Makaton, this is highly desired.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
