Job description
1:1 assistant required based just outside Guildford

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant for a special needs (SEN) school based just outside Guildford. We currently have a wide range of exciting positions available for either day-to-day or long-term supply with students that have SEMH needs. Our day to day work ranges from anything to 3 to 5 days a week and our long-term assignments are 5 days a week; 8:30-3:30pm.
This school offers lots of extra-curricular activities for the students to get involved in. You will be working with secondary school students ages 5-19. As part of their team, you will be responsible for the progress and wellbeing of the pupils. You will be providing assistant for students who have complex and severe learning difficulties. The school has excellent provisions for student who are on the autistic spectrum. The successful candidate will be a caring, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant.

The Role
-5 days a week, term time only.
-8:30am 3:30pm
-Based just outside Guildford
-Working 1:1 with pupils who have challenging behaviour

Requirements
-Minimum 2 years of experience working with autism and challenging behaviour
-Have excellent communication skills
-Confident with the SEN code of practice
-Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary or Secondary age
