Job description
Are you looking to expand your skills as an LSA? Protocol Education are looking for learning support assistants to work with children who have ASC in our specialist and mainstream schools in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is the name for a range of similar conditions, including Asperger syndrome, that affect a person's social interaction, communication, interests and behaviour. This role is ideal for candidates who have previous experience working with children who have autism and want to advance in their education career. It also provides the opportunity, for those with less practice, to gain experience in a classroom working with children who have additional needs.

Classroom support staff will be working with the children in a classroom environment to support the teacher and pupils. The position will be during school hours and will consist of both 1:1 and group support sessions. In specialist schools, class sizes are usually no bigger than 8 pupils. In mainstream schools, it will mostly consist of 1:1 support with the child in the classroom. There are part-time and full-time options available. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have exceptional communication skills and have a positive and helpful attitude. Candidates will preferably have experience working with SEND, challenging behaviour or training/qualifications.

The benefits of taking a job with Protocol education Bristol are:
•Guaranteed work scheme
•Commitment to quality and safeguarding short and long-term vacancies to suit your needs
•An extensive CPD training programme
•Dedicated and education specialist consultants
•A bonus scheme for referring friends and colleagues.

If this role is of interest to you, we'd love to hear from you at the Bristol office. Please register on our website https://www.protocol-education.com/Candidates/mydetailspartial.aspx and a member of our team will be in contact with you shortly.
