Senior Science Technician

As a Senior Science Technician, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of three technicians and undertake annual performance management of the Science support team.

Key responsibilities include:

Facilitating Teaching and Learning: You will support the Science curriculum areas by ensuring excellent teaching and learning experiences. This involves ordering, preparing, and setting out materials and equipment, as well as assisting staff and students during lessons. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Department Displays: You will contribute to the creation of departmental displays, showcasing student work and enhancing the learning environment. Your attention to detail and creativity will help create an inspiring atmosphere for all.

Departmental Administration: You may be assigned additional departmental administration tasks as directed by the Director of Science.

The Science Department delivers a full range of science courses, including A Level sciences. With 13 well-equipped laboratories, you will join a committed team that supports students in making excellent progress in science.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
