Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to students with diverse learning, health, physical, social, and emotional needs
  • Assisting in the implementation of individual education plan targets
  • Utilising interventions and specialised equipment to facilitate student development
  • Offering emotional support and guidance to students
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to establish a supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification or HLTA qualification
  • Degree in a relevant field

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of communication strategies such as Makaton
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Patience and empathy in supporting students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in specific interventions such as music therapy or sensory occupational therapy
  • Experience in forest school provision or horse riding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
