Learning Support Assistant:
You will need a positive and enthusiastic attitude for this exciting teaching assistant role, as primary pupils spend a good proportion of time with their TA!
You will be essential in supporting the teacher and ensuring students are focussing on the main task.
This role is dynamic and caries from day to day – from 1:1 support with SEN students, to group reading or math support work!
It is also a fantastic opportunity to develop your classroom presence and skills.
About you:
- Caring and engaging.
- Can calmly deal with stressful situations.
- Have previous experience of working in a school environment/with children (not essential – you will learn lots on the job!)
- Proactive in supporting class teacher.
You in the role:
- Establish authentic relationships and trust with students.
- Collaborate with class teaching in supporting students’ progress.
- Work with students in groups or 1:1 setting to check understanding of learning.
- Use school behaviour policy to reinforce positive behaviour and classroom routine.
- Can communicate tasks clearly so that students of all abilities can understand.
- Help with classroom + material preparation, clearing up after lessons and general admin tasks.

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 – Monday to Friday (part time available)
