We have an alternative provision in Weston looking to appoint a HLTA to work in their Primary base. Your role will be to teach a group of 2/3 year 2-7 children, with the support of a TA.

They are looking to appoint someone ASAP to work Monday-Friday till the end of the academic year.

The school are highly committed to helping their young people, many of whom have faced significant challenges, to achieve more than they might believe is possible. Their team of dedicated teachers and support staff help children develop their resilience, confidence and academic potential, supporting them to develop positive relationships with adults and each other.  It is not always easy for some but they believe that progress is always possible.  As an alternative provision, the school are able to offer a curriculum to their students that can be more flexible or personalised to individual needs.  This helps students gain in confidence and skills to enable a  move back into mainstream, or at times, specialist provision.

The Role:

-       You will lead the teaching of a group of 5 children, supporting pupils to overcome their barriers to learning and help them to make accelerated progress.

-        Support the behaviour management of the classroom, following the school’s behaviour management policy.

-       Follow school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring any safeguarding concerns are reported using the school’s referral procedures.

-        Lessons will be planned and resourced - with the opportunity to adapt and differentiate to your style

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
