Are you a passionate educator with expertise in Computer Science? We are seeking a dedicated and innovative teacher to join our outstanding all-girls secondary school community in Kingston Upon Thames starting in September.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and empowering our students to become confident and proficient in the rapidly evolving field of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging computer science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring coverage of the curriculum and fostering a deep understanding of key concepts.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies and resources to captivate students' interest and promote active participation and critical thinking.
  • Facilitate hands-on learning experiences, including coding workshops, projects, and competitions, to develop students' computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress and achievement, supporting them to reach their full potential in computer science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across the curriculum and promote digital literacy and creativity among students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in Computer Science, with a passion for inspiring and empowering students in this field.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scratch, as well as key computer science concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
