Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Business Studies and Economics to students at Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring coverage of the curriculum and fostering a deep understanding of key concepts.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students, promoting active participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support to facilitate their academic growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to excel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the learning experience and promote real-world application of business and economic principles.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in Business Studies and Economics, with a proven track record of delivering excellent results.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall success and ethos of the school.
