"The experience of interviewing in Australia reinforced to me the quality of candidates that Protocol Education have available to them overseas. I trust Protocol Education to select for me a short-list of candidates that meets my needs.
Having the opportunity to speak to people while they are still overseas helps me and the candidate to feel re-assured that the match is right for the needs of Sheringham”
Gary Wilkie, Head Teacher - Sheringham School

"The thought of a ‘telephone interview’ was something I had often tried to avoid, as I have always been someone who reacts better to people in a face-to-face situation.
The experience with Protocol Ediucation was one that I found surprisingly positive! Before the interviews took place I received profiles of the candidates, along with their CVs, which gave me plenty of information about their experiences and backgrounds.
The candidates themselves were very knowledgeable about the school and the vacancy they were applying for. The conversation flowed easily, giving me the opportunity to really find out whether the candidate was what I was looking for. Some of our best appointments have now been made over the telephone!”
Maggie Van-Loan, Head Teacher - Portway Primary School
"I cannot think of an occasion when they have not been able to find candidates for me to consider and their management of telephone interviews is totally efficient. References, management of work permits and other documentation has always been done efficiently and helpfully and I have follow-up conversations where Protocol Education ask how placements are getting on”
Keith Wadsworth, Head Teacher - Hitchin Boys School
Many schools successfully appoint highly skilled and motivated teachers via telephone interview. Interviewing on the telephone is flexible and provides a low impact way for you to access a world of candidates with skills that may be in short supply locally.
With Protocol Education making all the arrangements and picking up the bill the only thing you need to provide is your time. Successful telephone interviews happen when:
Protocol Education ensures all of these happen. On average, telephone interviews last between 20 to 40 minutes. If both parties are happy with initial discussions, we recommend that contact details be exchanged (email, website, phone, fax etc.) and further contact be made in the coming days. This will give both parties a chance to discuss their thoughts with a Protocol Education consultant before offering or accepting the post.
