Many schools successfully appoint highly skilled and motivated teachers via telephone interview. Interviewing on the telephone is flexible and provides a low impact way for you to access a world of candidates with skills that may be in short supply locally.

With Protocol Education making all the arrangements and picking up the bill the only thing you need to provide is your time. Successful telephone interviews happen when:

• The agency have gathered a clear picture of the role and person specification you are recruiting for
• The agency have supplied you with a CV, profile, reference details and other relevant information for the candidate
• The agency has indicated exactly what the candidates circumstances are e.g. visa or work permit? Intended arrival date and length of stay etc.
• The agency gives clear, honest and open feedback to both you and the candidate after the end of the interview

Protocol Education ensures all of these happen. On average, telephone interviews last between 20 to 40 minutes. If both parties are happy with initial discussions, we recommend that contact details be exchanged (email, website, phone, fax etc.) and further contact be made in the coming days. This will give both parties a chance to discuss their thoughts with a Protocol Education consultant before offering or accepting the post.
