A 'good and well-led' school located in Hounslow is currently looking to employ a Year 5 Class Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team in September 2010, on a full-time basis. This is a one year contract to cover a maternity leave.



As the Year 5 Teacher, you will be expected to plan, prepare and assess the learning needs of the children in your class, who are of mixed ability. You will maintain the positive ethos and values that the school holds, and you will ensure that national curriculum conditions of employment are met. You should be able to set clear targets for learning, and ensure that all aspects of safeguarding children are met. You will also be responsible for leading and organising the support staff within the classroom, and to report to parents on the development and progress of pupils.



To be considered for this Year 5 position, you must be an experienced and knowledgeable KS2 Teacher, who is proactive, organised, and is keen to become a valued member of a close team. You must have a good knowledge of the current Year 5 national curriculum, and be able to ensure that the safeguarding of children is carried out. You must have great interaction with the children in your class. If you are able to teach French this will be an added bonus.
