My client is a specialist vocational College that focuses on unlocking potential by giving students the skills, knowledge and qualifications necessary to progress either to University or employment. Students taking the vocational courses have achieved amazing success in recent years.



My client offers respected and renown industry standard qualifications that combine theory and practice and are delivered by teachers who have industrial and business experience. All courses assess students throughout the year (just like many university courses) and not through final examinations, so results are a fairer reflection of overall abilities



Job Specification.



Assisting the Director of Sixth Form and Heads of Year 12 and 13 with particular

administrative tasks, including:

 Attendance - Maintaining electronic record of Sixth Form attendance on Sims,

responsibility for daily absence notifications, production of attendance reports for

Heads of Year, tutors and letters to parents.

 Ema - Responsible for EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance); registering

learners, weekly payments, bonus decisions and all necessary online

administration.

 Sixth Form Open Evening - preparation of documentation, set up, and availability

on the evening for general information and oversight of subject stands.

 Sixth Form Applications - processing applications throughout the year, creating

timetable pools in association with the Deputy Chief Principal, liaising with

External applicants regarding interviews and taster days.

 Post 16 Learning Aims, census - Input and regular update of Post 16 options on

Sims in association with Data Manager.

 General - letters, ALIS grade predictions, subject self evaluation booklets,

availability to answer student queries throughout the day etc.

 Assist students in their use of the Sixth Form Library and its facilities by

answering enquiries, advising and enabling independent student utilisation.

 Use of library catalogue system to issue and return books.
