Crèche & Play Scheme Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Objectives: To manage the crèche and play schemes within the Centre
Providing a quality service ensuring safety, wellbeing and care for all children who the centre
Key Tasks
1. To have specific responsibility for the care and development of infants (aged 6 months-5years in the crèche and 5-11years in play scheme)
2. To work & liaise with the centres management in providing high quality care and education within the crèche and play scheme provision.
3. Managing and supervising all relevant staff within the Centre.
4. To lead on staff planning and preparation of group and individual work, holding regular meetings and ensuring best practice is adhered to at all times.
5. To develop and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers encouraging engagement with the provision.
6. To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team across the centre
7. To keep up to date with new initiatives, statutory guidelines and in best practice in relation to childcare development and play.
8. To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and practice specific within the centre
9. To develop and implement individualised settling-in programmes for new parents/carers and their children.
10. Responsible for covering staffing requirements on a weekly basis.
11. To work in partnership with human resources and management to establish and maintain a team of bank staff and oversee there inductions and continued professional development.
12. Book and organise rooms to run the crèche provision and ensure the rooms are set up before each crèche and left the way you found them when leaving.
13. To attend all relevant meetings, forums, inset days and training within the centre.

N.B. Staff are expected to provide support for each other, to cover for each other's areas of work during absences, to share information and to contribute generally to the smooth running of the office. Staff may also be required to undertake other duties within their capabilities.
The centre, as part of its objectives, intends to offer employment opportunities within the organisation to trainees. All staff are expected to take part in the planning and management of these initiatives and, where required, supervise trainees.
